Combined Wines & Foods was founded in 1972 by Ninel Molinari.
The business began in a small warehouse in Leichhardt in Sydney’s inner-west, and from there Ninel started importing wine from Italy, selling mainly to the few Italian restaurants then operating in Sydney.
By the late 1970s, our famous Donelli Lambrusco had become the No.1 selling wine in Australia (how fashions change..). We then moved into Italian spirits and liqueurs. The 80’s brought Italian beer to Australia and by the 90s, Italian foods and dry goods had become an important part of our business, and come the turn of the century we were riding the wave of Australian and New Zealand wines.
In all, Combined Wines employs more than 50 people through management, sales and logistics. We provide the highest quality wine, liqueurs, spirits and Italian dry goods.
For more than 50 years, the Molinari family has grown to include multi-generational relationships with our agency partners and many long-term customers from all sectors of the food, wine and hospitality industries.
The result of Ninel’s incredible strength and vision is that our family business has become one of the largest and most successful alcohol and food distribution companies in Australia.
We have developed countless products to become leading brands in the Australian market. Our customer base is spread over all channels of liquor and food distribution: hotels, registered clubs, independent and national retail, restaurants, duty free, large and small on-premise groups, major wholesale, catering firms and function centres.
